# Your information, under your control.

This policy explains how data is handled in the WIYLO app and on this website.

## In the app

Expenses, income, accounts and plans are stored locally on your iPhone using SwiftData. No WIYLO account is required, and we do not operate a server that stores your financial data. iCloud sync is disabled.

Receipt images are processed on your device using Apple Vision and are not saved. You can lock the app with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain.

## Services you can enable

The assistant is available only if you connect a compatible external AI provider using your own API key. When you use it, your question and the financial information needed for your chosen sharing level may be sent to that provider for processing. By default, only summaries without merchant names are shared; sending detailed transactions is optional. Personal names are abbreviated to initials before sending, and you can mark names to hide them. This filter helps reduce identifiable information, but it may not detect every name. Your provider supplies the API key and sets the terms governing its processing of your data.

Direct bank connections and the MCP server are disabled in the current public version.

## On this website

This website is for information only. Its examples use fictional amounts, do not access the app or your accounts, and do not save your selections. The page code does not include forms, analytics, first-party cookies or browser storage. Fonts and assets are served from this website.

The hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP addresses and access logs. The hosting platform’s terms apply to this processing.

## Exports and backups

When you export data from the app, you choose where to save it and whom to share it with. A local backup of the data store is created before data migrations.
